Soul Compass

Meditation

Think about a time when you were completely relaxed and had a moment of clarity. Everything made sense and you were at peace with yourself and the world. That is what meditation is all about. Forget what you’ve seen on TV or heard from someone who hasn’t ever meditated. Meditation is taking a time out for your mind and soul to heal. It helps your soul or spiritual side develop to its full potential.

Meditation can sharpen your other senses, including your sixth sense and increase awareness in your body, mind and spirit. It awakens you to the present moment and allows you to focus your life. You’ll understand what matters most and put your life in perspective. What do you want to achieve? What stands in your way? Meditate on it and get clarity.

Meditation teaches us how to center ourselves and our thoughts. Jack Kornfield says,” The spirit you will need to bring to meditation is one of openness, of discovery, of seeing. To sit, to walk and to train yourself to bring your attention back to the present moment. To learn how to concentrate mindfully in a balanced way and to observe your breath, your body, your emotions and your mind.”

I recommend that you research different techniques to meditate. Get a book on meditation and listen to some guided meditations. This guided meditation is one that I do to contact my guides and talk to spirit. It was written by me and recorded by my wife, PJ. This meditation will help you reach your Higher Self and includes a protection prayer. This is also a favorite of many of my friends and students.

The meditation is like a staircase taking you to the top of a mountain to raise your vibrations. Most guided meditations take you to the top, don’t give you enough time to meditate and then bring you back down. I’ll take you to the top, but you’ve got to find your own ride down! After you are finished meditating, reverse the order that I take you through by closing your chakras and grounding yourself. Remember how you travelled  up so you can come back down.  Click the Arrow in the audio file graphic above and enjoy!
